Low Hydrogen

Low hydrogen electrodes provide a professional grade MMA welding consumable solution for structural and critical welding applications where crack resistance, strength and weld integrity are essential. Designed with a low moisture coating to minimise hydrogen content in the weld metal, these electrodes reduce the risk of hydrogen induced cracking, making them ideal for welding high strength steels and thicker sections. Commonly supplied in widely used classifications such as 7016, 7018 and 7024, low hydrogen electrodes are extensively used in structural steelwork, pressure vessels, bridges, heavy fabrication, shipbuilding and general engineering applications. They deliver stable arc performance, smooth metal transfer and strong mechanical properties, producing clean welds with excellent toughness and ductility when used with correct storage and handling procedures.

Supplied in commonly used electrode diameters and pack sizes, low hydrogen electrodes are selected for consistent coating quality, dependable arc stability and reliable weld performance. Suitable for professional trade and industrial use, they provide a practical consumable solution for achieving high integrity, crack resistant welds across light  to heavy duty MMA welding applications where structural reliability and code compliance are critical.
