Versatile Aluminium TIG Wire for Structural and Marine Welding

Weld Star ER 5356 is a high-strength AlMg5 aluminium TIG wire developed for welding aluminium alloys containing up to 5% magnesium. Recognised for its excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and offshore environments, ER 5356 is one of the most widely used aluminium filler wires globally.

This alloy also supports anodizing, making it ideal for components where appearance and corrosion resistance are both critical. For optimal performance, thicker sections should be preheated to 150°C prior to welding.
